We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Faber & Faber new ecommerce website. Designed and built in-house, we have endeavoured to create a more attractive and engaging digital hub for the great publisher. The brief was to capitalise on Fabers’ rich literary heritage and ensure high retention and conversion ( in the face of competing online giants). Faber & Faber holds a unique place in the nations literary history – publishing work from T.S. Eliot (also its literary advisor), WH Auden, Ezra Pound, Ted Hughes, Sylvia Plath, and Philip Larkin to name quite a few.
The appeal of Fabers’ heritage, access to it’s rich literary archives, one-off print runs, exclusive author events and offers makes the new online proposition fascinating for anyone with an interest in literature. We designed the site to feature the artistry of Fabers’ renowned and beautiful book-covers and also streamlined the shopping journey to make purchase as easy as possible and integrated loyalty and membership schemes. Just as important was the extremely complex integration with Biblio and Onix, the global book database and information exchange. This massive piece of work seamlessly joins Magento to these powerful systems. The site launched on time and within budget.
